Let us give thanks for the start of the new year, for things familiar and new challenges.
Give thanks especially for those we love and whose loyalty we depend on;
whose frailties we understand and forgive in the hope that ours too will be accepted and understood.
Whoever and wherever we are, we are assured by the grace of God.
