Lord, please turn me inside out
so people don’t see
the shape of my body,

but see the shape of my heart

This is a story in which I can hear myself saying, “I can’t,” but God gently says, “yes, you can.” Then after learning that I did something I never thought I could do God tells me to do something else and I say, “I can’t do that!” Guess what God says?
The kingdom of heaven is like YOU!

I am sure we all miss the physical meeting of each other in one place, but Zoom services offer us an opportunity we haven’t had before because we can look into the eyes of so many people all at the same time. Look at the faces in front of you now and give a smile of welcome and a wave…. Amazing! We’ve just said hello to the kingdom of heaven.

The ‘Open the Book’ team are now in their tenth year of Bible story telling at Broadway First School and eighth at St. Mary’s Catholic School. In September we had a visit from a Revd. Charles Tsombi who intends to start OtB in Ghana. Children and parents from both schools sang carols with a band at the Christmas Tree Festival.
