Lord, make me a planter of the seeds of hope.
Where there is discord, let me sow compassion.
Where there is loneliness, let me sow companionship.
Where there is anxiety, let me sow comfort.
May the seeds I plant with your guidance and grace grow to be a sheltering tree,
Exhibition celebrating 180 years – you are invited.
180 years ago, during the reign of Queen Victoria, the doors to our church on Broadway High Street opened for the very first time.
It was the same year that Nelson’s column was completed in Trafalgar Square, London.

Helping to Regenerate God’s Creation
In response to the Climate Crisis, the people of Broadway URC embarked on a mission to “Transform” our church land to increase biodiversity, and encourage insect and birdlife.
A site survey by Natural Networks in 2020 and enrolment on the ARocha Ecochurch initiative demonstrated that there was a lot we could do to have a positive impact.
A Little Walk in the Garden with God
As you make this little journey.
Think about the times you have lived through and experienced,
easy , difficult , bad , good.
Think of encounters and choices.
What might God be saying to you in the journey so far?
What might God be inviting you to lay down and let go of as you journey together?
I wonder?… What Happens at a Weekly Sunday Service?
Christians attend Sunday Service because it is a way of showing our love for God. It is where we gather together as a church family to publicly show our faith and trust in God. It also strengthens our relationships with other members of the church family.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day – 15th October 2023
Oh Lord, you know every tear that has fallen onto our cheeks.
You know how painful and devastated we are at the loss of this precious child.
Please help the parents to use their tears as healing
and not to hold back or try to be strong on their own
when it’s too much to handle.
Thank you that you care about every single tear drop that falls from our eyes,
it is not lost on you.
Help us to mourn alongside these parents,
and help us to continue to trust you moving forward

FOOTPRINTS
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
I wonder?… Should I become a church member?
As Christians we believe in God and we try to behave more like Jesus every day. Coming to worship services, and to other church activities, and being part of the church family encourages us, and helps us to be become better disciples of Jesus.
